Polyalphaolefin oils (PAO)

These synthesised oils result from the polymerisation of alkenes or metallocene and are not suitable for sulphur or nitrogen compounds,
nor metallic impurities. Their molecular weight is perfectly controlled by their manufacturing process. This distinguishes them from refined mineral oils, which are still polydisperse mixtures.

Free of unsaturated bonds or aromatic rings, they are much more resistant to oxidation than mineral oils and form fewer particles.
They are free of unsaturated bonds or aromatic rings and have a much higher oxidation resistance than mineral oils and form less coking residues at high temperatures.

These oils also have a better viscosity index (VI) than mineral oils and a pour point that can reach -60°C for the lowest viscosities.
